Excellent result yesterday evening. Flora were poor again and never threatened. Our difficulty to score was once again worrying but the result was the main thing. Well done to the management and team and thanks and best of luck in St Johnstone to Alan Mannus.
Is it true that getting to the next round is worth €220,000 to the club as reported on Setanta? FC Copenhagen is a very tall order but I'm sure the boys will be well up for it and will give a good show of themselves. I wonder if FC Copenhagen are big enough to get the barstoolers interested? If so, RTE or even Sky may show the matches. The tv revenue would add to the coffers.

Chuffed to see big AL save that penalty against the estonians last night as if the rumours are true and he's on his way to scotland it would have been a shame for our last memmories of him was that howler he made against derry after all the great service and brillent saves he's made for us over the last couple of seasons.he will be a big loss and although I still live in hope that it is only mostly rumour and still might fall through it did look like that might be his last home game and he was saying goodbye when he walked the length of the east stand at the end. Hope he does well in scotland and I for one will certainly be following his career with fondness and memories

WTF was that performance in the Brandywell on Friday night?
We were completely headless in the first half and were very lucky to be going in 0-0 at half time. The second half started in much the same manner, it wasn't until Derry scored that Rovers started to get their arses into gear. Maybe we should offer the opposition a one goal lead before kick off to see if Rovers can start playing from the beginning of the match?
We need to see a big improvement tomorrow night against FC Flora or our Champions League adventure could be a very short one.

Much better from Rovers yesterday, good passing, defending and a great goal from Twigg. It's pity we didn't put more goals passed Pats but at least the guys didn't sit back after scoring the goal, something we've had a tendency to do to our cost.
Great selection of tunes at half time for the junkies too!

Last night was hard to watch wasn't it. In fairness sligo were the better team on the night.I'm sure the team are being put through the mill this morning. But one result doesn't make a season and if we were going to hit a bad patch its better that its now rather then in the run in. With no game till next sunday its an ideal time to brush ourselves down pull together and then we couldn't have a better next game then pats where we can show that" WE ARE ROVERS"and we can retake our place top of the table. So chin up everybody.its been a long time since sligo has beaten us(cup final was a draw) the last time was 08 season they beat us 2-1 and doyler scored our goal that day. Ndo also played for us that day.

The mutterings around tallaght last night against MON have left me thinking have I missed something. I know its part of the fun and entertainment of football particulary when your losing to question your managers choices. And it did seem strange to take twiggy off 2-0 down. Not only last night but every week we all have players we would play instead of the ones the manager played but I can't beleave people are questioning MON's overall job. Is everybody suffering memory loss or beleaving the hype in the papers or something. Since MON took over we've gone back to were we belong at the top of irish soccer. On my way to the first game of the 2009 season his first game in charge I asked a friend what postion would he be happy eith for it to be a successful season and we both agreed anywhere above 7th and here we are 2 seasons later unhappy cause we're only 1 pt ahead.so let's keep it real. We should be begging him to sign a new contract not dallying over it
